FoodTankers is a mobile pipeline for liquid food and feed products
Our existence depends of food and feed industries which in turn depend on our competence to provide good quality services.
FoodTankers operates under enormous high requirements concerning environment, quality and product safety.
We have a very high level of responsibility towards our customers and the society that the products we transport in our tanks don’t get destroyed during the transport. It is our profile and should be taken for granted by our customers.
The responsibility requires management involved in continuous work to develop FoodTankers as a competitive company which at the same time meets the external requirements.
FoodTankers operations require energy and other resources and thus have impact on environment, for example in the form of emissions or risks of emissions into air, ground or water.
Our way of working is best described as a holistic approach and environmental respect. To develop methods and techniques that allow us to live and work in harmony with our environment is a matter of survival.
To us, legislation, regulations and other formal requirements set up minimum level for our performance. Our ambition is to be one step ahead of the legal requirements by means of continuous improvements.
We strive to achieve quality, product safety and environmental awareness in a wider meaning: in human relations, in marketing and in caring for our company. The issues of quality, product safety and environment are matters of concern for all our employees.
Management Policy
FoodTankers is The Good Company. We consider ourselves respected as human beings, regardless of position or personal qualities. All human beings - be they colleagues, suppliers or other external contacts - are always to be treated as equals, an attitude vouching for uncomplicated and straightforward communication at all times and in all situations. Our "Good Company" concept also comprises unlimited potentials for individual development thanks to a flexible organisation, generous personnel policy and targeted training programs.
Ethics & Morals Policy
FoodTankers is an integral part of the society in which it operates. Our operations are organised to produce transport services in a socially acceptable way - by which we mean the society in general as well as individuals who are, in one way or another, involved in our business operations.
We consider legislation and regulations in the countries where we operate as only minimum levels. To fulfil the ethical and moral requirements of FoodTankers and our partners we must maintain a standard considerably higher than the legislated one, in a large number of areas. It goes without saying, then, that we would never, ever, exploit loopholes in any kind of law. Such an action would non-only is contrary to our ethical beliefs, but we also have the policy of keeping to the letter of the law as well as to its spirit.
We would never use human beings, animals or environment as tools to reach our goals. Our way of working may rather be described by words like co-operation and mutual respect. We also base our actions on the assumption that we are not anonymous; we always act as if our partners were fully informed of our operations.
Purchasing Policy
Our purchasing policy restricts our use of suppliers to those fulfilling the requirements of our management systems. Being a supplier to FoodTankers implies long-term co-operation based on competitive business relations; an approach meant to stimulate us as well as our suppliers to always look for solutions to our mutual advantage.
Equal Opportunities Policy
It is FoodTankers ambition to count among Europe's leading transport companies, a position that requires a creative atmosphere based on equal opportunities. We also strive for equal and friendly relations between different races, ethnical groups, religions and age groups.
FoodTankers Equal Opportunities Policy stands for: The right person on the right job, no matter his or her age, sex, ethnical origin or religion.
Working Environment Policy
In the FoodTankers Group we have taken the position that no part of any wage, salary or other remuneration may ever be considered as any kind of risk premium for on-the-job injuries. Work must always be conducted in a way to eliminate risks of injuries on human beings, environment or equipment. Our goal is that no one should be hurt or injured on the job. The achievement of this goal is dependent on everybody being given adequate training, education and information, along with the adherence to documented routines.
Our working environment should not only be safe, but should also provide the fundamental conditions for individual job satisfaction. Both work and working environment should be perceived as stimulating, interesting and developing. FoodTankers shall be a forerunner in its management of the human resources available within its organisation, not only in its own industry but also on a general basis. Our goal is to continuously increase the capacity utilisation of our intellectual resources.
We are, all of us, responsible for a continuous and sustainable improvement of our working environment. We must always approach our colleagues with respect, treating everyone as equal no matter his/her internal or external title or position. And we expect to be treated with corresponding consideration. FoodTankers is The Good Company.
Drug Policy
Everyone in the FoodTankers Group must help to maintain a clear demarcation line between work and drugs. Every single employee shall contribute to a working environment free from drugs. Work must always be carried out in a way to eliminate any risk of injuries. The FoodTankers Group does not accept showing up at work intoxicated or affected by drugs.
To ensure a working environment free from drugs, the company must actively strive for a physically, psychologically and socially healthy atmosphere in which we may all join forces to deal with problems and difficulties caused by drug abuse.
All employees should be attentive to deviating patterns or behaviours. We must protect and contribute to human relations, gradual improvement, information, and education, corrective and preventive measures. We have a joint responsibility to live up to FoodTankers Drug Policy and to actively identify the needs for corrective and preventive measures.
