FoodTankers is a mobile pipeline. As we are a link between food industries we are subject to requirements which are just as strict as for industry at large. This is why FoodTankers is a leader in technological development within the tanker transport sector.
With apologies to our competitors, our most challenging opponents are bacteria and other impurities in the form of residues, water, odour or taste. This is the reason we at FoodTankers have developed our own standards for tankers, which make life much harder for microorganisms and other pollutants. The inside of our tankers have a level of fineness which is up to 10 times higher than normal, which doesn´t even leave room for bacteria to hide.
In the interests of hygiene we have equipped our cleaning station with calibrated measuring equipment so as to be able to quickly verify the tank´s microbial status before the next job.
Loading and unloading can both be carried out in a closed system, e.g. with the aid of sterile air or nitrogen. The load is guarded with overflow protection, and after loading, the tank´s openings are closed off by means of a central lock which can be sealed with lead. At the same time the control system is closed and requires a special signal to be reactivated. The product´s temperature is monitored and logged by a registration system.
Another unique factor is the IT system used for the planning and checking of operations. In addition to a complete log of what each tanker has been loaded with, the system keeps tabs on any specific requirements applying to each load. The whole system is built, right from the start, for integrated communication with our customers´ data systems.
